Hey all, just put NixOS on my laptop, as noted above an Asus Zenbook 14 Flip. Basic functionality was impeccable right out of the box.
I have not yet messed around in tablet mode, I wanted this capability to use my Linux audio apps on my keyboard rack without giving up a bunch of real estate. The touchscreen seems to be working fine so I don’t anticipate any problems there, but part of the function there is that it needs to disable most of the keyboard and touchpad in that mode.
Bigger concern right now is that I use it mostly as a standard laptop, and when using it in Windows, the touchpad has a semi-intelligent function where it ignores input while text is being entered in the keyboard. This advanced functionality is currently gone, not sure if it’s currently available at all. If it is I want it, if it’s not I might try to add it myself, seems to me it’s just a question of shutting off touchpad input for a fraction of a second after each text keystroke, on some level.
Also not currently working, though I rarely used it, is the backlit hidden numpad in the touchpad - there’s an icon at the top corner, again in Windows when you push there the numpad lights up and is available until you push it again.
The keyboard backlight was also semi-intelligent in Windows, it would come on when the room was dark and otherwise turn off to conserve battery. I can still control it with the fn key but it was nice to have it come on when needed automatically.
My big hope is that someone has this model already and can shoot me their config files. :>
