Heads-up for Intel N100 users

Recently EDAC polling support was merged upstream and it causes a flood of EDAC error messages for Intel N100 users on kernel 6.13 and above. Following is a snippet:

Feb 21 06:15:12 matsya kernel: EDAC igen6 MC0: HANDLING IBECC MEMORY ERROR
Feb 21 06:15:13 matsya kernel: EDAC igen6 MC0: ADDR 0x7fffffffe0

This is not harmful (might cause excess writes but that’s all). A fix is available. It hasn’t yet been backported to 6.13 nor has it been merged in 6.14. So I think it will arrive in 6.15.

Forgot to update here but this patch is now included in v6.15 of the Linux kernel. The 6.15 kernel is in the mainline “branch” at this time. Should be released as a stable version in a few weeks.
