How do I de-activate nix?

I’m using nix and home-manager in Ubuntu 22.04. I would like to de-activate nix for a task I’m working on and use the software provided by apt.

How do I do that?

Updating your PATH to exclude Nix locations is probably all you need.

I didn’t try that, after making the post I decided to uninstall nix. I did what I had to do, and now I’m re-installing it with nix installer.
