How to deal with off-topic github comments?

An issue on github is littered with off-topic comments related to snap and ubuntu: Mlt glaxnimate missing from Kdenlive · Issue #209923 · NixOS/nixpkgs · GitHub

I’m not sure whether it is spam or some people are actually solving their own, unrelated problem. Should these comments be deleted? (It seems I have a delete button, but I have restrained so far from exercising it.)

comments should never be deleted, if you are not a moderator
