I wanted to try out the i3wm and ran into a lot of Nvidia problems
monitors would freeze (get stuck) when using applications that used Nvidia-offload
For example running fooocus UI for stable diffusion would freeze both monitors connected to the gpu
lutris wine with nvidia-offload would give me an x server error
any solution to all of this other than switching to Wayland
