Whenever I try to boot off of the installation media (created using Rufus), I get the error:
Initramfs unpacking failed: invalid magic at start of compressed archive
But, on a different server, I am able to boot up the installer completely fine.

Shot on the dark: try using legacy boot instead of UEFI
Other than that there’s a million possible reasons, you’re better off finding a distro you can boot and then isolating the differences until you identify the cause
Unfortunately, I was never able to get it working on that device. Eventually, I met with the person who gave me the server and we tried to get it working. No luck. We eventually gave up and I tried installing on a separate device, and it worked just fine. It was probably a hardware issue.
