Install stuck at 95% on Proxmox

I’m trying to build my first Proxmox VM and installing NixOS from ISO. It all looks to work but the installer stalls at 95%. For a time the mouse pointer still follows but after a while this seems to freeze as well.

The log doesn’t show anything useful.

The Proxmox is the latest at this time 9.2.1 and latest NixOS too 26.05. After initially giving it lower resources, my latest attempt has 64G disk, 12G memory and 8 CPU cores which I think should be more than sufficient to discard it as resource limitations.

Any suggestions as to what is going on or how to get past it?

Which installer are you using?

I wasn’t aware there was a choice. The one that pops up from the ISO.

However it does look like I got it to complete. It just takes over an hour at 95%. With the increased resources it doesn’t lock up.

I had a problem with the shift button not working (Firefox issue in Proxmox console) so I’m having to repeat the process but I think it’ll work this time.

Good deal! Sorry it was slow for you!

Not so good, The GUI installer seems not to be able to create a bootable LUKS encrypted system so I’ll create a new thread
