Is it normal that downloading iso takes so long?

When I download the grub iso (latest) from nix website it takes almost 5 hours to download, I tried doing a speed test and I’m pretty confident that it’s not comming from my internet connection.

It’s sad, I’m new to nixOS so it almost makes me regret giving it a try ):

Is there a list of the mirrors ? Are there any official one ?

Yeah, I hope in the future I would be able to halp changing that…
I think Nix is underestimated mostly because of that

There are no mirror websites, NixOS uses the Fastly CDN.

I think that Fastly add something going on because my download stopped and when I launched it again it took 5 minutes to complete the full download

I guess your main issue is resolved, but in terms of mirrors, I know of this unofficial one at Tsinghua University:

Depending on your location, you may find that a good alternative.
