Hi,
I’m running two NixOS machines, both using the unstable channel with KDE 6 on Wayland. I’m trying to use Remmina to RDP from my main machine to a target machine, which has KDE’s built-in remote desktop server enabled.
When I try to connect, the target machine shows a notification saying, “Remote session started, requested access to input device and screens,” but nothing actually happens on the Remmina side, the connection doesn’t go through. I also tried the KDE remote client, but it was even worse.
For context:
- Firewall: I don’t need to worry about open ports as I’m using Tailscale, but I’ve opened the necessary RDP ports anyway for troubleshooting, and it didn’t help.
- OS: Both machines are running NixOS with the unstable channel, and both are using KDE 6 with Wayland.
