libEGL failed to create dri2 screen

I want to run the aagl launchers. I have done so in the past without issues, but for the past few weeks launching them fails with libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen.

This looks nvidia related to me, but how do I further troubleshoot it?

Host running Hyprland, with a dedicated nvidia 1080 card:

 - system: `"x86_64-linux"`
 - host os: `Linux 6.7.4, NixOS, 24.05 (Uakari), 24.05.20240210.d934204`
 - multi-user?: `yes`
 - sandbox: `yes`
 - version: `nix-env (Nix) 2.19.3`
 - nixpkgs: `/nix/store/599wy5snf00pn1apmsnzmiy0ysdpds03-source`
