With the GC scheduled to happen at the end of the month, this discrete event could be leveraged for fundraising or at the very least community outreach.
A livestream of the GC process could attract sponsors with potentially having banners etc as chyrons on the screen. A simple donation link, one time predetermined donation amounts or some more creative stuff like “I survived the GC apocalypse” stickers for people who donate potentially too.
The livestream will be boring (hopefully), the point being this can provide an opportunity potentially to at least better inform people about more of the behind the scenes stuff and most importantly the costs associated.
I would definitely donate to get a sweeet limited edition sticker.
