Mail server on Hetzner cloud

Hi guys.

First I would like to thanks all nix-related contributors. I have been having great experience so far with nix including simple-nixos-mailserver / nixos-mailserver · GitLab

It was very easy to setup and clear instructions. My K-9 Mail, thunderbird can connect and interact with the mail server via ssltls startls both incoming and outgoing server.

The applications can receive emails from external resources that I use, the app can sent mails too.

But the server never be able to sent emails to outside. It always keep sending to servers using port 25( Gmail, outlook, yahoo,…)

Unfortunately my server is hosted on Hetzner cloud which by default block port 25 and 465.

My confusion is why postfix behavior that ways. As in master.cf it shows submission service tls level is encrypted which should force postfix to use tls on submissions correct ?

I’m sorry if this is off topic since it seems more like a postfix issue then nixos issue. I just want to find if someone has been in the same situation

And I’ve just seen that you can request to get the ports opened after you payed the first invoice.
