Most internet pages can't be reached

Hello, Nix(OS) users!

I installed NixOS on my Laptop yesterday. I can only reach very few internet pages. Basically the only pages I’ve found out to work so far, are pages related to nixos and google.

I observe this with version 20.03 and 20.09. Do you have any idea what could be the reason? I will happily provide more information if it is needed. Thank you!

I’m guessing you only have an ipv6 address.

thank you very much for your answer. I skimmed the wikipedia page on ipv6; previously I had heard this term, but didn’t really know what it means. However I still don’t know what it means that “I only have an ipv6 address”. Could you maybe indicate (a) how I can find out if this is really the issue, (b) what I can do about it?

How do you access your network?

How do your corresponding noetworking.* settings look like?

Have you checked your router (or similar home-network component) if your system is listed properly and DHCP assigned a proper lease?

Maybe paste the output of «ip a»?
