It doesn’t paywall me. Maybe it depends on the location or there’s freemium per IP block or you blocked ads or something. Anyway, it’s nice to me to read about it in English (even if it’s a German news site).
Oh, I appreciate German news sites. Half my Mastodon feed is in German. I just selected for the most informative (well sourced and linking many backgrounds) and authoritative (department of foreign affairs itself).
