Give your friend developer or yourself a nice present - new Haskell book Effective Haskell by Rebecca Skinner.

Knowing Haskell will make you a better developer regardless if you write in Haskell or another language.

The book is easy to read. I purchased the book on Friday and I’ve just hit page 200.

Btw. Nixpkgs are mentioned in the section about Cabal.

Most Haskellers don’t need a Haskell book ;-). But Nix people might want to learn a general-purpose functional language (I consider Nix to be DSL).
