Collabora Office is a collaborative Office for desktop, based on LibreOffice technology. This project is funded by the NGI0 Commons, NGI0 Entrust grants.
Collabora Office is a fully-fledged office suite supporting all major document, spreadsheet, drawing, and presentation file formats. It brings the collaborative web version, Collabora Online, to the desktop in the form of an application sharing the same code base. The website provides a detailed list of features available, and the initial announcement post provides a more thorough overview and comparisons with LibreOffice as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
Collabora Office currently allows working with documents locally and can be considered a modern redesign of LibreOffice, and collaboration features are planned in upcoming versions.
