Due to a critical issue currently under investigation, Nix packages are slowly defrosting—like an abandoned ice cream cone on a summer sidewalk, but way more tragic. The team is actively working to refreeze everything before it turns into a puddle of dependencies.

This is neat! For the more DIY among us, can we manually call the cgroup freezer using cat? (docs, manpage):

# echo FROZEN > /sys/fs/cgroup/freezer/0/freezer.state
# cat /sys/fs/cgroup/freezer/0/freezer.state
FREEZING
# cat /sys/fs/cgroup/freezer/0/freezer.state
FROZEN
