Hey!
A few of us from the Sofia Nix User Group are putting together a workshop for OpenFest - Bulgaria’s largest open-source conference, running for over 20 years here in Sofia.
Last year we did a talk on NixOS and this year we want to do something more fun and hands-on -workshop on ricing with Nix!
It’s about getting people hyped about Nix and to show them how cool declarative setups can be using home-manager, nix-darwin, etc.
Maybe see how close can get to the legendary Hannah Montana Linux, or something … idk
We have just submitted the proposal, so the workshop is not approved and not guaranteed to happen at all, but we’ll be there for sure so we would appreciate some help:
Does anyone, any foundation member, or company in the ecosystem have spare Nix/NixOS stickers, brochures, etc they could mail our way? We are going to print some stickers, but the more the better.
If you have good suggestions for fun starter templates that work nicely for beginners, please give us a link, we have some ideas on what we want to do, but more suggestions wont hurt.
We’ll be at OpenFest on 7-8th November so if are around please join us, it would be fun to meet and talk about nix and everything opensource.
