We at Nixcademy are looking for a Nix & NixOS DevOps Professional (m/f/d) to join our consulting team starting January 2026.

Nixcademy helps developers and teams get productive with Nix & NixOS.
We offer practical training and consulting so companies can build reliable, reproducible, and efficient systems using Nix tooling.

We’re a small, remote-first team based in Germany, working with clients who value automation, reproducibility, and open source.


What You’ll Do

You’ll work on client projects to integrate Nix & NixOS into modern DevOps environments.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Managing and integrating Kubernetes and Linux systems
  • Automating and improving CI/CD pipelines with Nix
  • Supporting development teams with reproducible tooling
  • Occasionally contributing to open-source projects

Your goal: use Nix & NixOS to make infrastructure more reliable, reproducible, and maintainable.


Requirements

Must-have:

  • Basic experience with Nix and NixOS (we’ll help you grow from there)
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of GNU/Linux systems
  • Interest in systemd
  • Self-organized work style and good communication skills
  • German and English (B2+)

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Hydra, etc.)
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects
