Good news, everyone! 
If you don’t know about it already, NixCon 2026 will take place in Kraków, Poland. Our 
website is live and we have finally received confirmation from our venue to announce the official time and place:
When: Friday to Monday, 25 to 28 September 2026 (yes, 4 days!)
- 2 program days
- 2 hack/unconference days
Where: Jagiellonian University Auditorium Maximum in the heart of 
Kraków, Poland- 🧑🏼🤝🧑🏽 Who: Nix wizards, Nix-curious, Nix-adjacent, and the people who love them.
We are preparing a special Partner track this year! Bring your spouse, best friend, arch nemesis, or whoever else you can lure to travel to Poland with you, and they’ll be treated to a tourist package for their trouble.
Hopefully this allows you to start planning your trip. Here’s some more important information we have for you, for now:
We are planning something exciting: The very first NixCon Capture the Flag event!
Ticket sales are open and contributor vouchers will be available just like last year
This year the voucher eligibility is not a strict cut-off. We have decided to reward every single contributor with a progressive discount system; everyone’s a winner!
We intend to work out discounts with local hotels again
Budget permitting, we intend to offer free food on all 4 days again

Our preparation work is far from over though. If you want to dedicate some of your time for volunteer work in preparation for the conference, please reach out on Matrix or via Email. Keep an eye out for more Discourse announcements, and your inbox once you have a ticket.
