Experiencing the same failure on a desktop and laptop running 26.05 for many days now:

unit-accounts-daemon.service doesn’t sound like something that would be specific to my configuration. Any tips on trouble shooting would be much appreciated.
There’s more to the error messages, if you could show more of the log (journalctl -b 0 -u nixos-upgrade), that would help us find what’s wrong.

I removed that from my configuration and did a manual nixos-rebuild without error.
