Oh that would be a great find! I’ve worked on templating custom (minimal) AMI images for Runs-on runners via forking their packer config repo, but not sure where I’d start if basing off NixOS instead of Ubuntu. Would packer still even be a viable approach, or what’s the current art for AMI formation in general using pure Nix anyway?

the RunsOn images use cloudinit stuff and other things like, the weird bootstrap script etc, I dont know what they contain etc…
