Hello, where can I get the torrent file for the official iso file?
Most linux distros provide their iso file via torrents, I don’t see in such option Download | Nix & NixOS
My download speed is very low, would be nice to have this as torrent so that I can pause and download later. I could try via something like aria2 but that’s a different topic
Releases · AnimMouse/NixOS-ISO-Torrents · GitHub (unofficial project but claims to download official ISOs) offers such a capability. Check hashes after downloading (as linked in the “releases”).
I won’t mark it as solution because it’s unofficial, but thanks for the link
This has been discussed on this forum recently: NixOS image downloads as torrent
As I understand it, there’s nothing preventing downloads directly from the site being paused and restarted. The software you’re using to do the download just has to support it.
Can confirm these torrents are backed by the official iso url as a webseed source, and the torrent files and hashes are autogenerated via a github action source.

I’ve downloaded this torrent. And when there are no peers are available, it is downloading from a web peer/seed (the linked official url)
