I’ve been a die-hard Debian user for years. Now, after an update last week, the kernel was shot and I wanted to take the opportunity to try out NixOS. I like the concept of the distribution, the project has been “on the market” for many years and, with a quasi rolling release, a new feeling to the rather “old” program versions of Debian.
Unfortunately, my ASUS G713IC laptop with Nvidia graphics card doesn’t seem to like the system. The installation is completed without any problems or any indication that something is wrong. After the first boot, at the moment when the GNOME Display Manager is called up according to the terminal, the screen remains black, nothing happens.
There are (many) entries on this topic on the net, but all “tips” lead to no success.
Perhaps someone here has had the same experience and has a tip for me?
