This is a simple change that was approved by a non-maintainer quite a while ago. Looking for someone for additional approvals if necessary, and someone with merge rights to click the green button.

opened 05:48PM - 21 Mar 24 UTC
## Description of changes
- Fixes invalid logic from https://github.com/NixOS… /nixpkgs/pull/292847
- Moves linger management to standalone service that can be executed after logind has started. If this needs to happen during activation, then we'll need to switch to creating/deleting the files instead of using `loginctl` to enable/disable.
- Adds a test
Current error:

We should really have a test for this.

← hraban:stdenv-no-prompt-rm
opened 06:02AM - 23 Feb 24 UTC
## Description of changes
When running `genericBuild` interactively from a nix-… shell, a bare `rm` without -f will cause a prompt to the user if they have rm aliased to `rm -i`. This is a pretty common alias.
Same would hold for cp, mv, etc.
Obviously a pretty painful patch in terms of rebuilds... :/

NixOS:master
← illustris:mysql
opened 06:36PM - 25 Mar 24 UTC
## Description of changes
When defining nixos configs like `services.mysql.co… nfigFile = ./my.cnf;`, mysql's restart behavior will be inconsistent. For example, if the nixos config is applied from a flake, mysql will restart every time a new config is applied as the store path for the flake source changes each time. This is because `builtins.toString` is applied to the service's restartTriggers:
https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/blob/44d0940ea560dee511026a53f0e2e2cde489b4d4/nixos/lib/systemd-lib.nix#L326
`toString` returns a store path when applied to a derivation, but returns the absolute path to the file when applied to a path. This change will use `"${}"` to explicitly load the config file into the nix store.
```nix
nix-repl> x=./a
nix-repl> x
/tmp/a
nix-repl> toString x
"/tmp/a"
nix-repl> "${x}"
"/nix/store/9hhkqc4m4bvc6knmy20p63a1ypm5j2jq-a"
