TL;DR: Overhauls the build script following breakage on driver `595.44.02`. P…reviously nixpkgs would ship only a single binary built from the latest nvidia driver, which would cause problems if the host system was running a significantly older or newer driver version. Upstream's solution to this is to build multiple binaries for each driver version and have a python script select which one to use at runtime. I've adapted the build script to implement this and added an update script to ensure that it's always built with the latest drivers. However, herein lies a problem. Upstream expects distributors to rebuild when a new driver comes out, but, as long as nothing breaks, the upstream package version doesn't change. This is bad, so I've updated the versioning to include the driver version it was built up to. Various packages under minimal-bootstrap explicitly use the musl gcc wrapper (es…pecially the *-static packages). In https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/494106, the desire is to allow these packages to run on a host platform which may differ from the bootstrap seed platform. That host platform may be a non-musl platform, and furthermore musl may not even be available on the desired host architecture. This change aims to make the packages more generic wrt libc. It is extracted out of https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/494106. To this end, a new gcc wrapper is added to replace the musl-gcc wrapper. Currently it does pretty much the same thing as musl-gcc. However, the dependent PR #494106 trivially extends it to work with glibc as well. It is also constructed in a way that allows gcc to be decomposed into smaller derivations (gccNgPackages-style). Adds Immich machine-learning ROCm configuration to the NixOS module: - `service…s.immich.machine-learning.acceleration = "rocm"` sets `DEVICE=rocm` and runs the machine-learning service with a ROCm-enabled `onnxruntime`. - `services.immich.machine-learning.hsaGfxVersion` sets `HSA_OVERRIDE_GFX_VERSION` when non-null, while `null` preserves native ROCm gfx detection. - Extends the existing Immich NixOS test configuration to assert the HSA override is present in the machine-learning service environment. This was split out after downstream Keystone work needed the same wiring for RX 7900 XTX / RDNA 3 (`11.0.0`) and native ROCm detection. This PR close #477636 . I ran into the same issue and figured out why it happ…ens. DNS resolution may fail, causing Clash Verge / Mihomo to stop working, when all of the following conditions are true: * TUN mode is enabled; * the firewall is enabled; * the DNS server in `/etc/resolv.conf` is an on-link LAN address, such as `192.168.1.1`. If the network provides a public DNS resolver, such as `8.8.8.8` or `223.5.5.5`, everything works fine. This is why the issue only appears in some network environments; * `checkReversePath` is not relaxed. The patch added in #522847 changed the names of functions added by the iains gcc… darwin patches. Thus, they don't apply cleanly to a linux source. This PR adds a check to ensure that they are only added when the iains gcc patches are added. This pr improves the `gcc` build scripts to improve the support for building `gc…obol` and `gccrs`, including packaging them for use. Currently I cannot evaluate the `gccrs` package, but I can evaluate the `gccrs15` package, even though they are the same? There's some error in #332738 that I can't fully solve myself so would love help from others. Edit: thanks to the wonderful explanation of @sternenseemann, `gccrs` now evaluates, and so this pr is ready for review! Edit 2: This PR has now been added upon to also init the new Algol68 frontend, ga68 For testing, the following is a simple hello world program in cobol, mind the indentation, it is correct, even though it is weird. ```cobol *> A SIMPLE HELLO WORLD PROGRAM IDENTIFICATION DIVISION. PROGRAM-ID. hello. PROCEDURE DIVISION. DISPLAY "Hello World!". STOP RUN. ``` `gccrs` is very incomplete right now on the provided `gcc` versions, it cannot compile `core` or `std`, so no I/O is available, and I haven't been able to properly get the extern bindings to have it call `putstr` to make hello world work properly. Instead, the following program, when compiled with `gccrs`, exits with status code 2: ```rust fn main() -> isize { let v: isize = 1 + 1; return v; } ``` An example algol68 program is below, for testing.
