I worry the Nim packaging situation in Nixpkgs is becoming a mess so I’ve drafted RFC that describes a reducing the set of Nim packages to programs only and managing libraries with lockfiles.
I am the author of buildNimPackage and a code-owner of nimPackages. When I started this I wasn’t confident in the examples of other package ecosystems, so I’d like to improve the Nim packages in deliberate co-ordination with the current Nixpkgs architectural planning.
