I am not allowed to read (not just unable answer, as apparently intended) the announcement of opening the shepherd nominations.
I think it should be visible even without login.
I guess when the configuration typo is fixed my post can be deleted to reduce the noise…
I am going to blame it on the UI 
I did some changes to only allow the RFC Steering committee to post in the category and it didn’t record all the ACL changes. This is fixed now.

As for blaming it on UI, I guess it would work better for a person who was not a proponent of migration to Discourse because of nice UI compensating for the weaker mailing list operation?
