Hello everyone,
I recently switched to NIXOS from Fedora and have been really enjoying exploring the Nix ecosystem so far. While poking around, I came across summer of nix, and it looks like a pretty cool way to get involved. I was curious what kind of projects usually show up there, as someone with very little open source experience i still want to be a part of the developer community of nix and hence i wanted to know what shall i learn and explore to be a good contributor for summer of nix program. Mostly just trying to learn how people usually ease into contributing here

Hi @askelad. You can read up on the program in its README, which we’ll be updating in the following weeks. The program’s focus is on these objectives and SoN participants help package different NGI funded software with the mentorship of a more experienced developer.
Have a look too at the Ngipkgs repo to get a grasp of what each project entails and follow the conversation in the Ngipkgs Matrix public chat.
