Hi,
I’ve been experiencing a wierd crash situation where it appears that suddenly none of the executables are available, and this the entire system is frozen. I can still move the cursor and type, but most programs will crash quickly and nothing can be executed in a terminal (if I happen to have one open). Switching to a different tty just has single underscore.
I can’t ssh in or anything obviously because everything is unavailable. Only fix is to hard shutdown my pc via the power button. After next boot, journalctl -b -1
shows nothing near the time of the crash, which is why I guess it could be a problem with my SSD, since it cannot write the log(?).
Output of journalctl -b -1
after rebooting: http://0x0.st/XpYp.log
Example of terminal prompt on crash: http://0x0.st/XpYW.bmp (can’t use proper screenshot obviously)
I can’t really seem to figure out any pattern for when this crash occurs. Sometimes it’ll crash soon after booting, or sometimes many hours, or sometimes not in 12+ hours.
Desktop PC, using flakes, nixos-unstable. i5-11600KF and AMD 6800.
Any tips appreciated, I’m really lost.
