We understand that some attendees have questions about the U.S. travel advisory for Guerrero, and we take those concerns seriously.
Our event is being organized with local partners who know the area well, and we are following practical safety precautions that generally apply when traveling in Mexico. Based on our local contacts and current understanding, we are not aware of any specific safety issue affecting the event location itself.
It’s also important to note that the event will not take place in a town or city center. The venue is isolated and located away from urban areas, with transport arranged by taxi from the airport. The ride is approximately 40 minutes with a taxi.
I have been to the area multiple times and it’s very safe.
It’s also a very popular yoga retreat area, alongside surfing, – in fact my neighbor (a mother) 3 weeks ago just went on one.
Although the sprint is listed in Saladita, that is the surf break. The nearest town is Tronconnes (5 mins):
