The government of Schleswig-Holstein (via its main contractor Dataport) is looking for maintenance and support for a Linux distribution to be used for public administration. The tender is open until 2026-07-27.

This could be interesting for European companies in the NixOS space, given it’s cheap enough to clear a specific technical requirement, namely that remote management can be done through Uyuni, which is a layer on top of Salt.

What does this have to do with NixOS? Could you give some context? Most people on this forum don’t speak (bureaucratic) German. I see a lot of pages but I have no idea what I am looking at

just to be clear, speaking German doesn’t even imply speaking bureaucratic German :stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds like they aka public sector want to hire aspirants to equip their employees machine with another os - “[in a distribution agnostic manner]” - so NixOS might be an option if “sold” correctly.
