soo we can’t just like add an extra substituter there huh 
This must be particularily cool for guix enthusiasts, I assume? At least those that are not overly orthodox with respect to FSF ethos, etc, given that nixpkgs contain so much more
Well unless i misread something in the article, it says guix-transfer translates Guix derivations to Nix, but not the other way around, though i think he mentions the reverse has to be possible too. That would definitely be cool. Guix does have official support for nix though, so you can already install packages from Nix very easily if you wanted to, but there might be specific situations where you’d rather have a native Guix derivation, where a tool like this could be very useful.
