NixOS has been very effective for giving certain types of agents (I call them gremlins, given some esoteric characteristics) power over how they organize their sandbox VMs.

LLMs have “solved” to a decent degree getting projects to build: I check out a repo, point Claude at it, say “figure out how to make this work as a flake”, and go do other things, occasionally checking back and tweaking its work and spotting mistakes.

It’s neat.
