I’m on a Dell Pro Max 14 Premium, and have been running NixOS with GNOME on that for the past weeks. Unfortunately, the touchpad didn’t work; GNOME wouldn’t even display a cursor, so there was nothing to drag. I think I was able to use the physical clickpads. It now sort-of works after I added
boot.blacklistedKernelModules = [ "hid_multitouch" ];
to my configuration, but of course, now I can only use single-touch, so no two-finger scrolling. I also tested this same laptop with a Fedora live USB, and the touchpad is fully functional there.
I also tried setting
services.xserver.libinput.enable = true;
instead, but that didn’t do anything.
Any idea how I can fix or further debug this?
