In the boot menu (where you can select a generation), I can’t move the selection, so I’m condemned to load the current (broken) one. I tried the arrows “j” or “k”, mashing everything on my keyboard, and the mouse but nothing happens.
You might have a degree of fast boot enabled that doesn’t wait for the keyboard. Seems like a firmware thing in either case.

It was indeed something in the motherboard. By clearing its CMOS I could use the keyboard in the boot menu. Thanks !
