VSCode/VSCodium Custom CSS

I want to utilise libatwaita (Custom CSS for Vscodium) to make it feel more integrated into the gnome desktop. It utilises the Extension Vscode Custom CSS to change the CSS of the programm. The extension does not work, as VScodium is immutable and therefore is not able to change its CSS.

This problem seems not really solvable is it?

I am also trying to get this to work.
It is especially hard with vscode.fhs as it wraps VS Code.

It would be so nice to be able to rice VS Code under NixOs
