From Oblivion’s logs…

err: DxvkInstance::createInstance: Failed to create Vulkan instance
Needless to say it doesn’t start. Other (64-bit, native Vulkan, and/or OpenGL) games work fine.
I figured it might be a matter of missing Mesa libraries so I tried to give Heroic the x86 ones:
(heroic.override { extraPkgs = pkgs': with pkgs'; [ gamescope gamemode vulkan-tools pkgsi686Linux.vulkan-tools ]; })
But that has not helped, and the game fails to start with the same vague error whether using the Wayland or X11 Wine backend.
This is with the Heroic nixpkg to be clear, not Flatpak; I’d like to avoid throwing in Flatpaks if possible. And I have seen on the Wiki that the Heroic nixpkg doesn’t support 32-bit Linux but I don’t think that should apply, as the host system is 64-bit; I just want to run the occasional 32-bit retro game using multilib support. Thanks!
Edit: sorry about the broken nix config formatting, I’m not sure what happened there.
Edit 2: hardware.graphics.enable and friends sadly do not help.
