How to get a new package merged into nixpkgs?

Hey,

I’m quite new to this community so sorry for asking simple questions. I wanted to add new package age-plugin-se to create age keys securely from Macbooks so I created a PR into nixpkgs: Age-plugin-se: init at 0.1.4 by onnimonni · Pull Request #382902 · NixOS/nixpkgs · GitHub

I understand that the maintainers are busy and I wouldn’t want to be burden for anyone but I’m wondering if I’m missing something from the PR?

All of the tests seem to be passing and I think this would be useful for others who want to use sops with nix on Macbooks.

Are there certain unwritten rules I forgot to follow? Anyway I could ask someone to review it?

You’re doing all the right things. You could additionally post in PRs ready for review _ or in some relevant matrix channels. Once the PR has been reviewed, post in PRs already reviewed to get attention again

Contributing to nixpkgs may require some patience due to the high amount of traffic the project receives.
