The buildstream-packages derivation has been merged, which leaves buildstream: 2.4.1 -> 2.5.0 by shymega · Pull Request #421920 · NixOS/nixpkgs · GitHub to be reviewed, merged, then backported. This should help anyone working with freedesktop-sdk development.

The original python-consul project from cablehead has not seen releases since 20…18 and is archived since 2024: https://github.com/python-consul/python-consul/tags [It suggests](https://github.com/python-consul/python-consul/blob/a91daae20c72625e764c10b5a98010df6b442238/README.md) to use the better maintained fork of criteo/py-consul. Some distros use https://github.com/poppyred/python-consul2, but it is also archived since 2024. ~I removed the previous maintainer, because it seems to me that they did not contribute to nixpkgs since 2016 (`git log --author=desiderius -n1`). ## Things done There's a package request (https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/is…sues/407646) for adding hip-rt which is needed in blender-hip. So far I got it to compile but I don't know how to test it. Building with unittests fail btw, but I didn't examine it further. I don't really know much about rocm.
