We announced the time and place for NixCon 2025 a couple weeks ago and have some news to share since then.
Website
We now have an initial version of the website, kudos to @escherlies for bootstrapping that!

Letters of invitation
We are now also set up to hand out signed letters of invitation for those that need one to get a visa. Reach out to nixcon@nixos.org if you need that.
Volunteers needed
We’d love to have two main tracks and record them, but we’re currently lacking the necessary hands to pull that off.
If you have an interest in helping out with AV (no prior experience necessary) and ideally can be at the venue a day earlier to get acquainted with the setup, please reach out to the AV team in this Matrix room!
What’s to come
- CFP will open soon, so get ready to submit your talk or workshop proposals.
- There will soon be an in-person meeting at the venue to document the existing AV equipment.
- Ticket sales will open once we have a better estimate of the amount of sponsoring available.
